30 years of local commercial business experience, including the last 12 years with JBV where advice and assistance has been given to over 3,000 individuals encompassing every business sector.  For 5 years prior to joining JBV, Accountant & Director of De Gruchy Department Store employing 300 staff with an annual turnover of £17m.  Roles prior to this were Accounts Manager for the Jersey Division of the Guernsey Gas Group,  Accounts Supervisor for Travtel group of companies and Administrator/Book-keeper for GR Fuller Investments. Other business experience with a sandwich bar, builders and retail outlets. 

 

Amanda Trotman   BSc (Hons)  ACMA
Business Advisor

Joined JBV October 2008.  Previously Director of Finance and Administration for Channel Television for 6 years, Financial Controller for Brown Goods Retail and Publishing divisions for first year with the company prior to joining the Board for Broadcasting Business; where responsible for all aspects of company financial control, ensuring HR matters comply with new employment law legislation and headed the Health & Safety Committee.  Committee member and treasurer for several charities and non-profit making organisations. Currently studying towards Advanced Diploma in Counselling.

 

Felicity Denton
Business Advisory Manager

Over 3 years experience at JBV. Previously responsible for human resources at a prestigious local hotel group; with over 90 staff.  Whilst in this role, created yearly plan for continuous business improvement, laying foundations for reaching and maintaining Investors in People. Previously ran her own small business, thus creating empathy with JBV clients. Holds BTEC National Diploma in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Operations at Distinction level - covering all aspects of industry management. Holds Level 2 IAB Certificate in Book-keeping (June 08) - at distinction with commendation level.

 

Mikhaila Carro
Business Advisory Assistant

Joined JBV July 08. Previous experience in customer facing roles as first point of contact. Experience in administrative duties including book-keeping tasks and data inputting. High level of interpersonal skills.
